Event Photographer Opportunities
Would you like to earn an additional income from event photography but don't want to sign up for an expensive franchise? Can you take photos to the same standard or better than those on our website? If you can answer YES to both of these questions then we have the perfect opportunity for you!
During 2011 we placed over 200 events with our network of affiliate photographers who between them generated sales of over £100,000 from these events.
For the 2012 event season we are offering photographers the chance to become an affiliate photographer to cover events on a self employed basis. The events we offer are a broad mix of both junior and adult sports events, school proms, corporate events along with a variety other social events as well. The bookings we offer all have real earning potential. and the photographers keep 100% of the onsite profits.
How our Affiliate program works:
On average we notify our photographers of 5 confirmed bookings per week for events with high numbers of guests/participants needing a photographer. When we recieve a booking we pass the details to all our affiliate photgraphers and the event is then assigned to a specific photographer on a first come/first served basis. We then invoice that photographer a fee of £50 for the booking.
The photographer working the event is responsible for paying the costs incurred onsite at the event (eg, print media and mounts) plus any commission due to the organiser (we always try and agree a flat fee as opposed to percentage of sales) but after that ALL onsite income is kept by the photographer.
What we ask:
That you work to our own onsite pricing structure. That you supply us with the images from the event within 24 hours.
We will ask that you sign a Confidentiality Agreement and that there is no self-promotion at our events. We will provide all onsite marketing materials and corporate clothing as required.
We will require proof that you have your own professional insurance policy.
What We Don't Do:
Restrict you to just one area of the country, you are free to go where the work is.Insist that you work only for us, so you are free to continue working in your own business.
Take any additional percentage of your earnings.
The costs involved in becoming an Affiliate Photographer?
There is a one-off Admin Fee of £195 to join our Affiliate network, however we will refund this in full if we dont pass any bookings to you within 12 months.
Every booking is invoiced to you at £50 per booking (please note that this is per booking, not per day. A multi-day event is still charged at £50)
This is what one of our Affiliate Photographers has to say:
In recent months I have worked on a self employed basis for Event Photography at about 10 different sports and social events.
All of these have proved to be good quality and profitable events, with three of them having a turnover of several hundred pounds a day. The staff at Event Photography are very helpful, with free advice when I need it, they provide me with items for sale such as key rings at a cheaper cost than I can buy them and have even leant me additional kit when I needed it.
I wouldn't say this is a licence to print money, but if you have a team that are prepared to work hard, produce good quality event photos and well prepared with workflow, the potential turnover from each and every job is very good and I would recommend working for Event Photography to anyone who is looking for some additional income from their photography.
